Revised Operational Council Proposal
Loxley released a revised operational council proposal in the Rug Radio discord. Verify as an $RDAO holder to review.
What is the Operational Council? A group of seven ambassadors who shepherd the DAO to effectuate its goals within the Rug DAO Frameworks, legally compliant, and with high ethical standards. Role is to protect the treasury; not to spend on silly things or commit to unsustainable capital. And to enable SubDAOs, e.g. micro sub communities. Want to see $RUG adopted as a form of social incentive to help participation and to build $RDAO.
These Council positions are not a full time job but only about 5-10 hours/month.
Anyone can submit a proposal to change compensation at a later time.
Core team does not want to rush into anything or compromise anyone. (SEC, CFTC, IRS, etc.)
This version of the proposal added legal indemnification for council members.
Forming the DAO has slowed down the Core Team a lot in the past. Trying to move forward quickly.
MBStuart/Rektgrateful: Pointed out sort of conflict of interest/need for checks and balances in governance.
For now, core team is just following the framework for setting up the Council. In the future this can be changed.
Rektgrateful also shared that he hopes to hear the proposed Operational Council Members speak about this proposal in the community on discord and discourse.
Quorum
The last operational council vote failed to meet quorum.
$RDAO holders discussed increasing the voting period from 3 days to 5 days. Some $RDAO members do not believe this will make a difference; others think that it’s worth a try.
ArtemysiaX suggested that Rug Radio can do a better job marketing the vote by distributing content that better explains what votes are about and how to vote.

Farokh Answered Questions from $RDAO Holders
Is the core team comfortable implementing treasury management strategies if the community wants to experiment? Basically, no, the Core Team is focused on setting up the entities to be legally compliant with lawyers and accountants, and not yet ready for treasury management income.
Farokh suggested the idea of a DAO-to-DAO relations position or team for Rug DAO. This role could manage relationships between Rug Radio and other DAOs and help drive partnerships and other deliverables.
Farokh likes nouns.wtf and believes that $RDAO can learn a lot from nounish communities.
